Video Vixens (1975)

In the visionary world of softcore sexploitation cinema, corporate conglomeration of the mass media was a major concern more than a quarter century ago. The, some would say, crazed hero of director Henri Pachard’s Video Vixens (1975) exults in the revolutionary act of liberating a broadcast outlet from the stifling commercial interests controlling it, and televises a bastardized award show dedicated to glorifying the transformative power of stag films, instead. Yes, these days The AVN Awards are treated like a legitimate thing you should be proud to win, but back in the seventies the idea of an award show for pornos was an absurdity worthy of a whole movie's worth of mockery. Stacked full of awesome seventies titties, there's not a whole lot of plot to this one: just a bunch of clips of hotties showing their bodies in situations that are supposed to be funny. There's a super carnal scene where Angela Carnon takes all her clothes off and demonstrates every sex position you could imagine! Sandy Dempsey puts curlers in her bush trying to get that seventies muff up to snuff for her to film a dirty movie. The huge hootered ginger godess you probably remember from Blazing Saddles (1974), Robyn Hilton shows her huge knockers at a press conference that'll have you pressing rewind, while the gorgeous blonde Terri Johnson shows all three B's during a fake commercial. That'll please your Johnson! Cheryl Smith shines her rack and vag while lounging poolside during a fake feminine hygiene commercial, and Linda York shows every bit she has while getting felt up by a bunch of blindfolded dudes. Add to that tons of nude girls in a fake black and white horror movie and you'll realize network could overtake streaming if they put some of this stuff onscreen!
