The heavenly sprawl of Los Angeles includes Bel Air, Beverly Hills, Echo Park, Hollywood, Pacific Palisades, Santa Monica, Sherman Oaks, Silver Lake, and Venice Beach. But when it comes to skinematic settings, Mr. Skin prefers Malibu Beach (1978). Robert J. Rosenthal’s risqué romp offers a sudsy mix of soap and sand by poking ... at the tropes of daytime melodramas. In other words, the R rated pic plays the arch villainy for laughs, pumps up the quotient of jiggling-but-firm breast flesh, and pops those quivering melons from the slinky bikini tops that try in vain to contain them. The sexy summer saga features James Daughton as Bobby, Sherry Lee Marks as Margie, Michael Luther as Paul, and the aptly-named Susan Player as Sally. Needless to say, the latter lady bares her chest while having sex on the beach. Check out Susan’s nude boobs at the movie’s 28-, 33-, and 34-minute marks! Not to be outdone, Dina (Kim Lankford) shows off her breasts and buns when she goes for a midnight swim in the ocean. The naked babe also makes a splash on screen when she reveals her rack in the sack. If that’s not hot enough, topless Glorianna (Tara Strohmeier) lets us peek at her peaks when she makes out with a dude on the sand. At first we spot partial pontoons, then all-out magillas when little pranksters swipe her towel. Someone give those kids a dollar! As a tale of misplaced affections and well-meaning machinations, Malibu Beach is a breezy treat!
