00:18:58Nude, breasts, bush, buttThis orgy is about as Roman as it gets! Peter O'Toole as a decaying Tiberius walks Caligula and a completely nude Loretta Young through a massive set piece of debauchery! Pick your pleasure in this naked pile of people!
All roads led to Rome for the late thespians Sir John Gielgud and Peter O’Toole when they decided to appear in Caligula (1979) starring Malcolm McDowell in the title role. Focused on the decadence of Ancient Rome, this porn movie (yes, porn movie) was penned by highbrow scribe Gore Vidal and produced by Penthouse magazine founder Bob Guccione. The result is a $17.5 million skin flick about the infamously insane emperor with an insatiable appetite for sex. As such, the bodacious biopic comes complete with full penetration, spread beavers, slurped schlongs, and lap-liquefying lesbianism. Helen Mirren proves there’s nothing like a Dame by displaying her naked T&A during a three-way. She came, she saw, she conquered — but not necessarily in that order! Speaking of, when Adriana Asti shimmies her big bare breasties, you’ll be spewing Asti Spermanti! If that’s not hot enough blonde-bushed Teresa Ann Savoy goes full frontal as well as flashing her ass during various sex scenes. Did we mention Mirella D’Angelo loses her top to reveal her Caligu-glands? Or, that Lori Wagner and Anneka Di Lorenzo leave no hole unlicked thanks to their suck-a-thon which Sappho herself would have likely joined in on. Once you put all of this skintastic action together, you get one hour and twenty-seven minutes of erotic drama! That’s art — and never more artfully presented than in Image Entertainment’s 2007 multi-DVD Special Edition package, which includes bone-us features of X-rated X-tras copulating on camera. Fast forward another two decades and 2024's Caligula: The Ultimate Cut does its best to restore Tinto Brass' original vision. Heck it even won an Anatomy Award for a newly discovered backburger scene from Helen Mirren! With this Roman-set movie, history comes alive — literally!
