From the romantic comedies Groundhog Day (1993) to New Year’s Eve (2001), every holiday can be celebrated with a specific movie. So when the calendar hits October 31st, it’s time to dust off the horror classic Halloween (1978). Not to be confused with the 2007 reboot of the same name, John Carpenter’s original flick features a youthful Jamie Lee Curtis, Kyle Richards, Donald Pleasence, Nancy Stephens, and the panty-clad ass on Nancy Kyes! Since the flick proved to be a winner at the box office (and the spank bank), it spawned the sequels Halloween II (1981), Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982), Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers (1988), Halloween 5 (1989), Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers (1995), Halloween Kills (2021), and Halloween Ends (2022). But the first version remains to be the granddaddy of slasher movies since it gives audiences what they want: scared stiff naked women who will make you stiff! Many imitators followed yet few surpass its mix of gore and goodies. Case in point (two cases, really) is P.J. Soles. As Lynda Van Der Klok, she gets offed, but not before Mr. Skin gets off watching her Sole sisters set free from her shirt. A topless Judith Myers (Sandy Johnson) sits in front of her vanity mirror combing her hair until her little brother Mike (Will Sandin) hacks her up. Hey, bloody boobs are better than no boobs. And although Jamie Lee’s Laurie Strode doesn’t strip, this flick offers enough treats to do the trick!
