Crystal Lake (2026)

Spoilers ahead if you’ve somehow never watched a Friday the 13th movie and don’t know the lore behind this long-running slasher franchise. Peacock’s spooky series centers on Pamela Voorhees (Linda Cardellini), mom to Jason, an eleven-year-old boy with a deformed head and face due to being born with hydrocephalus. While attending Camp Crystal Lake in New Jersey, where Pam works in the kitchen, Jason accidentally drowns when the counselor who's charged with watching him is too busy boinking her boyfriend in an equipment shed. Jason’s body remains uncovered nine months later, and we see Pam still struggling to accept this loss. As horror fans know, eventually this grief turns her into a vengeful killer but there's more to the story as it turns out Mrs. Vorhees may not be who she seems. Danielle Kotch plays Claudette, the camp swim instructor whose bikini-clad body proves too much for her boyfriend Barry (Phoenix Parnevik) to ignore, leading to Jason’s unfortunate demise. We get it - Danielle’s skimpy swimsuit drives us to distraction too! But they aren't the only ones getting down and dirty. April Consalo is seen popping out of her top and grinding her bare as away in the woods in the sixth episode... right before getting her throat slit. Now we know why having sex is one of the cardinal sins of horror!
