The nudity in The Toolbox Murders (1978) will have you grabbing your tool! Briefly banned in the UK, this US crime flick follows Vance Kingsley (Cameron Mitchell), a distraught dad avenging his daughter’s death at the hands of a drunk driver by ... well, killing gorgeous gals with assorted power tools. There’s gotta be some logic in there somewhere. As you can guess, murderous mayhem paired with naked knockouts abound as Joey Ballard (Nicholas Beauvy) investigates the disappearance of his teenaged sister Laurie (Pamelyn Ferdin). Set in a miserable apartment complex full of miserable people, the R rated film actually delivers some great performances and stylistic verve. In fact, Stephen King cites this cult classic as one of his favorite horror films! Mr. Skin also appreciates the slasher pic for its skintastic cast. Indeed, you’ll be hauling out your hammer when Debbie (Marciee Drake) dons a wet (and see-through) shirt. If that’s not titillating enough, she takes it off to expose her nude boobs. In other words, she adds thrills to this thriller! No wonder it spawned the remake The Toolbox Murders (2004) and its sequel Toolbox Murders 2 (2013). Needless to say, we’re waiting with masturbated breath for the next tool-inspired installment! Breast of all, the original flick features ’80s porn star Kelly Nichols (billed as Marianne Walter) who bares her three Bs while taking a bath during a pre-massacre masturbation scene.
