Small Engine Repair (2021)

Small Engine Repair (2021) is an indie film about lifelong friends named Frank and Swaino who have not seen each other in so long. Frank invites Swaino and their old friends to come over and have a weekend filled with whiskey, sports talk, and games - but he asks them all for a favor on the behalf of his teenage daughter Crystal whom they all absolutely love. After asking them to help him help Crystal, things get really out of control. What exactly happens? All kinds of edgy, thrilling things. It turns out the young man they invited over is Crystal's boyfriend and the dad wants him out of the way so that his little girl can have a good future that is uncomplicated by young men who might act the way that Frank used to act like a kid. What happens next involves class struggle, toxic masculinity, and twists and turns that you won't believe. This adaptation is based on the award-winning play of the same title and the drama is good, but the babes are better. Crystal Romanoski is played by Ciara Bravo and it's not hard to see why the guys want to protect her so bad. She is adorable when she stands in front of the mirror topless in order to figure out how to take a sexy selfie. She does, however, cover her boobs with her hands, so don't get TOO excited. Jennifer Pollono similarly shows her cleavage in a plunging neckline when she straddles one of the guys on a bed. If only we could see her pair in Small Engine Repair!
