The Patty Duke Show was as wholesome as anything in the early '60s, but many young men had fantasies of gleesome threesomes with Patty Duke in her dual role as identical cousins. Already an Oscar winner for The Miracle Worker (1962), Patty went on to one of the (literally) craziest careers in Hollywood. She fixed her clean-cut image with some sexy scenes--and a great catfight--in Valley of the Dolls (1967). This was followed by multiple marriages and extreme behavior, later explained by a 1982 diagnosis of manic depression. She's also kept working as an actress and activist in TV and film, even combining the two while showing her breasts in the lesbian adoption saga By Design (1982). Strangely, however, there aren't many lesbo love scenes, even though the film is about two lesbians trying to have a baby.
