Bound by Lies (2005)

Young men and women fresh out of school and embarking upon their professional lives are drawn to careers in law enforcement for a variety of reasons. Many an idealistic sprout wants a paid position where he or she can "make a difference." Budding adrenaline junkies idealize a potential workday filled with opportunities for accelerated heartbeat. And then there are the curious and hearty souls who are seduced by a job situation in which every day promises to deliver something unexpected. The pair of detectives who are teamed up at the heart of Bound by Lies (2005) are in for the surprise of their week when a routine arson/robbery case suddenly reveals that a twisted and prolific serial killer is at play, leaving behind a trail of shockingly disposed bodies.
