Ah, the classic tale of "forbidden love". In this period piece set in the 1850s, The World to Come, we follow Abigail (Katherine Waterston), the doting and loving wife of Dyer (Casey Affleck) a hard working yet somewhat boring farmer who simply wants to make the most of his life and his land. As Dyer toils away on their farm with seemingly endless work, day and night, the loneliness begins to set in for Abigail, who keeps a detailed diary of her days. Enter Tallie (Vanessa Kirby), a new neighbor who also finds herself bored in her marriage to the controlling and jealous, Finney (Christopher Abbott). As the two women meet and become fast friends, they both begin to realize that they share similar problems in their lives and they too are both quite bored with the world of rural frontier living and their husbands. What starts as a budding friendship soon takes a turn for unbridled passion as both women begin to realize that they share a complete void of intimacy in their lives and their feelings begin to grow for one another. Once the veil of hidden lust is pulled between the two of them, their relationship turns into sexual liaisons, one after another, after another! As one husband is aloof to their relations, the other begins to suspect these two are spending too much time together and something must be afoot. Lucky for us, this powerhouse cast brings in some A-List lesbian action between Katherine Waterston and Vanessa Kirby! Both of these gorgeous women have a few seriously heavy make out sessions as well as a sex montage that'll keep you busier than, well, a frontier farmer working with his hands!
