Napoleon (2023)

Ridley Scott’s sprawling epic begins with the French Revolution and beheading of Marie Antoinette, then follows Napoleon Bonaparte (Joaquin Phoenix) as he ascends the military ranks of France, showing key battles like the Siege of Toulon in 1793 where the French triumph over the British thanks to Napoleon’s nighttime assault on a harbor fort.
