Lex (Anna Konkle) and Mani (Jermaine Fowler) are married bakers trying to get pregnant while attending their lesbian friends’ (Aparna Nancherla and Jennifer Lafleur) destination wedding at a beachfront Mexican resort. While everyone is greeting each other outside the airport upon arrival, Lex briefly holds the lesbian couples’ baby and then accidentally drops the baby when buzzed by a bee. This incident is the catalyst for a number of reactive conversations amongst the privileged friend group attending the wedding, which include an actress (Robin Thede), her New Age-y husband (Utkarsh Ambudkar), and their porn-watching son (Elisha Henig), as well as the hippie couple (Joshua Leonard and Jillian Bell) who own the resort. We’re not sure which is more scintillating, that Anna’s Lex has a romantic past with a lot of the guests (and even one of the brides), or that she bares her booty while being nude on the beach at night! We definitely prefer Anna dropping her clothes to dropping anything else.
