The French Dispatch (2021)

In this anthology tale from the genius mind of Wes Anderson, we are dropped into a fictional French town sometime in a few different times within the 20th century.  The centerpiece of the anthology is an American newspaper's outpost in France, The French Dispatch of the Liberty, Kansas Evening Sun. We are dropped into three weaving vignettes, which are republished articles at the behest of the recently departed newspaper editor (Bill Murray), his final wish is to put out one last edition and then his obituary.  In the first segment, we follow a depressed, unstable, yet genius artist (Benicio Del Toro) who is incarcerated for murder, but his abstract portrait of a nude prison guard, Simone (Léa Seydoux), is garnering critical acclaim in the art community, especially by J.K.L. Berensen (Tilda Swinton), who is giving a lecture on him and accidentally presents a full frontal nude photo of herself in the process! The second story follows a young revolutionist, Zeffirelli (Timothée Chalamet), who has an affair with an older journalist (Frances McDormand) from the Dispatch, who he wishes to help edit his manifesto.  While Zeffirelli has an equally enriching affair with another militant and opinionated student, Juliette (Lyna Khoudri), who rides around on a motorcycle and feeds him chips while naked in her dorm room.  Then the final chapter follows a James Baldwin type of writer, Roebuck Wright (Jeffrey Wright), who describes the kidnapping of a police commissioner's son by way of the dinner menu that was served to him at their residence.  In classic Wes Anderson fashion, the stories intertwine and his highly stylized imagery paint a portrait of his fictional French universe like only he can, but surprisingly enough, this feature of his features plenty of full frontal nudity from the incredibly stunning Léa Seydoux, a surprise nude scene from Tilda Swinton, and even a nude debut from Algerian babe Lyna Khoudri! Not to mention the always gorgeous Saoirse Ronan as a wayward showgirl in her lingerie while kidnapping a small child!  This one has it all and it is delightfully full of skin too!
