Legtastic and boobulous, with a face that could stop or start a riot, showgirl-quality Phyllis Davis began her ascent to skin stardom with her standout parts pushed forward in such roles as Bit Girl, Model #10, and 2nd Secretary in a string of Elvis Presley movies. Davis had a moving way of moving herself, and she moved right into a recurring spot on the TV sitcom Love, American Style, a gig that stretched from 1970 to 1974. Also in those years, Phyllis strayed into risqué territory. She held the title role in chick prison flick Sweet Sugar (1972). No one ever lost any money betting that there would be a steamy girl-on-girl shower soap up in Sugar. And no one ever lost any time blinking at Phyllis's truck-stopping mammary shelf as an open-shirted hitchhiker in Terminal Island (1973). Famous T&A (1982) illustrates the Davis ability to play both blonde and brunette, although she is consistently brunette on the bottom half.
