Hollywood has big stars, and director Russ Meyer has bigger ones—and few were as monumental as Erica Gavin, born Donna Graff in Los Angeles. The nicely endowed enchantress debuted in Meyer's classic big-breasted bonanza Vixen! (1968)—but there should be two exclamation marks, one for each of Erica’s gorgeous globes. The star played Vixen Palmer, and showed off her bombastic bongos while beating skins with both men and women for rip-roaring good times. The X-rated, although not hardcore, feature branded Erica, and she followed up her skinsational success with the role of Roxanne in another Meyer special, Beyond the Valley of the Dolls (1970), the sequel to Valley of the Dolls (1967) written by film critic Roger Ebert. Her erotic adventure continued as the title character in Erika's Hot Summer (1972), with the tagline: “She Forced an Entire Lifetime of Passion Into One Lust Filled Summer!” In an interview, the starlet shared that some of the footage of her was actually shot for another production that ran out of money; a producer purchased the scenes and built Hot Summer around them. Erica’s final skintillating scenes occurred in the more mainstream mam-pleaser, the women-in-prison epic Caged Heat (1974), written and directed by Jonathan Demme, where Erica’s character Jacqueline Wilson gets her big girls wet in not one, but two shower scenes. It would be over 30 years later before the actress appeared on screen again, in the short 3 Stories About Evil (2008). How about 3 shots of your 3 beautiful B's instead?
