Probably no one outside of Studio 54 had more fun or "dated" more celebrities in the '70s than the skintacular bronzed brunette goddess Barbara Leigh. Barbara began modeling at age nineteen after she was discovered in a Beverly Hills nightclub. Strangely, she had moved to L.A. to work as a nurse, a role she reprised in The Student Nurses (1970), sans scrubs. Helloooo nurse! She first hit the small screen in a Coca-Cola commercial and appeared in about fifty commercials altogether. Movie work soon followed, including the role of Jean, Rock Hudson's wife, in Pretty Maids All in a Row (1971) and the female lead opposite Steve McQueen in Junior Bonner (1972). In 1975 Barbara was signed on to play the bare-bosomed bloodsucker Vampirella for Hammer Films, but the movie was never made. Heartbroken, Barbara retired from acting, but she still has legions of fans around the world. She currently works for Playboy magazine.
