Behind every breastploitation hero are breast-hoisting heroines. No jug-genre giantess did more than bra buster Haji to prop up the reputation of Chairman of the Boobs Russ Meyer. Dark and exotic in looks and voice, Haji appeared in more Meyer mammary classics than any other floating rack in the master's stable. Haji's first collaboration with spherically fixated Meyer was in Motorpsycho (1965). She established a pattern of creating much of her own dialogue and bleeding psychedelic tendencies of her offscreen life into her characters. Her best-remembered role is that of the bad, bad brunette girlfriend to badder, baddest brunette Tura Satana in the ultimate chesty-chicks-kicking-man-butt flick Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill! (1966). An exotic dancer before overfilling the silver screen as though it were a piece of skimpy lingerie, Haji often recruited fresh boob flesh for her maestro. In the '90s she retired to Malibu, California, where she starts every day at six a.m. with a round of naked body surfing.
