Loosely based on that pinnacle of goofy ’80s slapstick––the Police Academy franchise––Nico Mastorakis’s Ninja Academy (1990) trades in the nightsticks for nun-chucks. Gerald Okamura plays a wizened old samurai master who has retired to Southern California to run an academy for would-be martial artists. Among the recruits Chiba (Okamura) trains are a silver spoon-swallowing pretty boy (Will Egan), a nebbish clutz (Jack Freiberger), and a swarthy British spy. It’s more than a man’s game, however, as Chiba keeps the training grounds stocked with fawning blonde bimbos. Even if slapstick’s not your game, stick around for slapping of a different sort, as Anna Kim, Becky LeBeau, Bonnie Paine, and Kelly Randall donate their keisters for samurai spanking sessions.
