As a film director, acclaimed photographer Larry Clark likes to brighten the silver screen with the same explicit views of taboo sex, violence, and negative diversions among disaffected youth that motivated and beguiled the screwy doper kids of his most famous still pictures. Clark’s earlier cinematic travelogues into teenage angst and carnal excesses, Kids (1995) and Bully (2001), exhibited a naturalistic style of filming and acting that lent them a documentary feel. A real life edge of Southern California suburban screw-ups is explored in Ken Park (2002). But what distinguishes this pic from the rest of the auteur’s oeuvre is that the sex scenes are far and away the most erotic he has ever put to film. Throughout the R rated flick, flesh fiends have have an opportunity to gawk at a couple of ripe ingénues in all manner of undress. Simply check out the sexy scenes of Peaches (Tiffany Limos) and you’ll know what we mean. The aptly-named character lets audience members see her bare breasts, dark nips and hot hairy bush as she reclines between two nude skateboard dufes (James Bullard and Stephen Jasso) on a sofa. But instead of physically playing around, this ménage à trois consists of playing a word game. Losers! Luckily, Rhonda (Maeve Quinlan) gives us more nudity. The blond babe displays her artificially-inflated boobaramas in the bathroom. Later, Ms. Quinlan’s undies are removed so we can see view her enhanced bust and shaved beaver while Mr. Bullard actually gives her head. It’ll blow your… mind!
