The next generation’s raunchy teen comedy, this film is the Superbad-esque story of four fourteen-year-old friends trying to navigate their first year of high school. Benji (Mason James) is the nerdy theatre kid with a crush on his older sister Alyssa (Ali Gallo)’s bestie Bailey (Isabella Ferreira) while Danah or “Koosh” (Bardia Seiri) longs to be cool but his bully of an older brother (Kayvan Shai) is constantly putting him in his place. Then there’s Eddie (Ramon Reed) and Connor (Raphael Alejandro) who are the McLovins of the group, though Connor’s nickname is nowhere near as cool - as the smallest of the freshmen he ends up being dubbed with the moniker Fetus. Koosh’s big bro decides to throw a party to kick off the school year, and the friends see this as their chance to prove themselves (except, just like McLovin, Eddie and Connor don’t even make it to the party). In past flicks, high school hijinks have been known to provide some nudity, but save for a scripted nip slip from Isabella about ten minutes in, that’s all there is skincoming.
