Control Freak (2025)

Valerie Nguyen (Kelly Marie Tran) is a motivational speaker whose career is on the rise. She’s just booked a worldwide tour of self-help speaking engagements and she and her hubby Robbie (Miles Robbins) are trying to have a baby, but life isn’t without its snags. First, in order to get into China, she needs to produce her birth certficate and the search for it can’t help but unlock Val’s tragic past. See, her mother died in a boating accident, and deep down Val blames her estranged former junkie dad, Sang (Toan Le). Val also has a nasty itch on the back of her head that is starting to torment her to distraction. It doesn’t help that when she finally decides to seek out her dad for help, his insistance that their family is being targeted by a mythical demon sends her mental state into a downward spiral. At least before things go sour, we get to see some sneaky sideboob as Kelly Marie and her man do some baby-making on the couch. We’re ok with a control freak as long as it’s in the sheets!
