Bring Me a Dream (2020)

Mr. Skin's never been a big fan of being told to do things by film titles, which might be an instant deal breaker for the thriller Bring Me a Dream (2020)! However, this flick has an interesting hook which is what would happen if a real life father and son played a father and son in a movie? Martin Kove, who played The Karate Kid's notorious heel John Kreese, co-stars alongside his real son Jesse Kove as Jack and Trent Miller, the respective sheriff and a police officer in a small college town. The two men spring into action when local sorority house Alpha Omega Pi gets a visit from a troubled young woman named Avery (Jaclyn Betham) who, in a misguided attempt to prove her own sanity, holds the entire house hostage. Bequeathed with a power beyond all understanding, Avery unleashes a supernatural creature known only as The Sandman (Tyler Mane) from her own nightmares into the sorority house. Now, everyone inside must confront their own fears, waking or otherwise, in a bid to rid themselves of The Sandman. Reading back over this, I'm beginning to think Marty Kove and his kid might not have much to do with any of the major events of the film. I said they leap into action, but that's hyperbolic at best. At least the flick's got what we all came here for, which is major league skin! Kelli Stoner gets us high baring her boobs and buns while getting whipped by a dude—though it doesn't end well for her—and Chelsea Mee also delivers some terrific T'n'A while banging a dude on a bed! Bring Me a Dream? More like Bring Me a Tissue!
