Smiley Face Killers (2020)

Man, bad enough you've gotta get murdered but to get murdered by Smiley Face Killers (2020) is just an indignity on top of an injustice. Seriously, the last thing you ever get to see is a Smiley Face? That's a rough way to go, is all we're saying, and the folks who meet a gruesome end at the hand of this titular band of murderers can vouch for that. If there's one thing this flick, written by American Psycho and The Canyons scribe Bret Easton Ellis, has going for it, it's Crispin Glover as "Hooded Figure." For a man who never has to try in order to come off as weird, Glover takes all of that to new heights with this role. The film centers around a handsome high school jock whose world is turned upside down when he begins having lucid daydreams that he's being followed by shadowy figures. It turns out he's not going insane but is rather the latest victim of a group of serial killers that torture their prey before killing them. Not wanting to become the latest handsome hunk to end up dead with a smiley face carved on his own face, he decides to take fate into his own hands and take down these killers himself! Sadly there's no female nudity in the flick, but the gorgeous Mia Serafino does strip down to some sexy black undies and bra, but that's about it for the sexiness. This flick is more interested in murder and violence, so stick with something that will actually put a smile on your face!
