The Dinner Party (2020)

The Dinner Party (2020) is a horror movie about class difference, exploitation, the way the rich dehumanize the poor. But as for what it's really about, that'd be Jeff (Mikre Mayhall), an aspiring playwright who takes his wife Haley (Alli Hart) with him to a strange dinner hosted by a group of wealthy cultural elites. Jeff thinks if he plays his cards right that they might fund the playwright's next big endeavor, which puts a ton of pressure on his wife not to piss anyone off and ignore some really obvious red flags. Jeff is convinced this dinner is going to launch his career, but the couple is about to find out that's not going to happen. Instead, these novelists, opera stars, and general members of the hoi polloi have invited the playwright and his wife over to be tortured, hunted and killed. Should've just created a GoFundMe. Maybe a Patreon. Now, Jeff and Haley are in the middle of a real life fight for survival where exiting stage left means exiting this primordial earth!
