Bluebeard (1972)

French folklore comes to life when the legend of Bluebeard (1972) is updated to 1930s Austria. Per the writing and direction of Canadian-born Edward Dmytryk, audiences meet Baron Kurt von Sepper (Richard Burton), a World War I hero who has a string of mysteriously ill-fated wives. Even though his spouses are the sexiest women in the world, you can’t be envious of this lady killer since he keeps burying his brides. Mr. Skin would get hitched a bunch of times too if it meant bedding the beauties seen in this skinternational flick. Such starlets include Italy’s award-winning actress Virna Lisi and American sex symbol Raquel Welch. While these stunners fail to shed their threads on camera, the R rated flick features the naked T&A on Teutonic blonde Karin Schubert. Danke! If that’s not hot enough, check out the ripe apples on Big Apple babe Joey Heatherton! Breast of all are the nude boobs on Italian eyefuls Agostina Belli and Marilù Tolo. They’re molto bellissimo! French fox Nathalie Delon also gets into the action when she presents her bare chest to Burton in bed. Later, the topless tart shows off her lesbian tendencies while rolling around with an equally undressed Sybil Danning. At the time of the movie’s release, film critic John Stanley wrote, “Director Edward Dmytryk provides titillation, soft-core nudity, lesbianism, sadism.
