Review

A wartime psychiatrist struggles to treat a tormented poet in Behind the Lines (1997). Poet Siegfried Sassoon (James Wilby) is sent to Scottish psychiatric hospital after he writes an illegal pamphlet speaking out against World War I. Sassoon won of a medal for bravery at the front and was well respected as an officer, but felt that the war had become hopeless. At the hospital Dr. William Rivers (Jonathan Pryce) attempts to treat the contentious objector, as well as other soldiers suffering from their own shell shock.Playing a local munitionette, Tanya Allen lets a lucky solider take a nap on her hot howitzers at 1-hour 26-minutes mark. War, what is it good for? Tanya Allen muffins!
