Another Simple Favor (2025)

It’s never just one favor, is it? This sequel to the dark psychological thriller of 2018 picks up five years after the events of the first film, with Stephanie (Anna Kendrick) on a book tour, having turned her vlog “A Pinch of Murder” into a best seller. The newly-released-from-prison Emily (Blake Lively) is about to marry Dante (Michelle Morrone), the son of an Italian mafiosa (Elena Sofia Ricci), and she invites Stephanie to the ceremony in Capri to serve as her maid of honor. Also joining the festivities is Emily’s alcoholic ex-husband Sean (Henry Golding), her mother Margaret (Elizabeth Perkins), and aunt, Linda (Allison Janney) and if that doesn’t sound awkward enough, tensions rise even further thanks to an ongoing mob rivalry - oh, and a murder! Blake seemingly learned a lesson after the first film and doesn’t let any nips slip out this time. Damn. But she does share a couple sapphic smooches with herself. And both Anna and Blake don sexy swimsuits for a candlelit dip and some cocktails. Do us a favor, ladies, and pop those tops off for once!
