Happily (2021)

Following the worldwide success of his Johnny Knoxville/Jackie Chan buddy comedy Skiptrace (2016), writer BenDavid Grabinski made his feature directorial debut with Happily (2021) co-starring Kerry Bishe and Joel McHale. The pair play Janet and Tom, a longtime couple whose sex life is off the charts. These two have sex everywhere, in every room of the house, in every thing that they own, in every place that they've been, everywhere. Other couples like Karen (Natalie Zea) and Val (Paul Scheer) hate that their sex life is dying while Janet and Tom's is thriving, which leads the couple to think that at least one of their friends might be behind a mysterious visit the couple receives one evening. While hosting a party at their McMansion with all of their closest friends in attendance, a stranger (Stephen Root) shows up at their front door with a proposal that could lead to them landing a briefcase full of cash in exchange for completing a nefarious task. Of course, to say more would spoil any of the fun of Happily, a film where sex is omnipresent, but nudity is in desperately short supply! Kerry Bishe has lots of sex scenes in her underwear or with strategically placed items in the frame or carefully constructed shot compositions keeping us from seeing any of her good parts! She is dead sexy though! There's nothing in the way of skin from any of the supporting players either like the aforementioned Natalie Zea, or the unmentioned Natalie Morales, Shannon Woodward, Charlyne Yi, or Kirby Howell-Baptiste! Unfortunately, Happily won't make you Slappily!
