She stepped away from acting to concentrate on school, even dreaming of attending Stanford, but then a life-changing audition nabbed her a role in the 2005 film adaptation of a little book called The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and the rest, as they say, is history.
Blake Lively’s Early Breakout Roles
Blake’s portrayal of Bridget Vreeland, the long-limbed soccer star in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, earned Blake instant acclaim, and really, who wouldn’t want to get into the California girl’s pants? She immediately followed it up by trading magical jeans for a white bikini in the fake college-set film Accepted in 2006. Then in 2007, she showed up in even more skimpy swimsuits in Elvis and Annabelle, the same year she made her small-screen debut as the leading lady of the hit teen drama Gossip Girl. For her role as bad-girl-gone-good Serena, Blake appeared in the highest of high fashion. Of course, fans would have preferred her out of those trendy togs. It seems Ryan Reynolds, her costar in the 2011 DC superhero film Green Lantern would agree, as the two of them started dating, then got married and got busy making babies. Luckily the two seem to have nailed the blending of parenthood with their day jobs so they could both continue to have successful careers and ensure we got more Blake for our cinematic bucks.
Blake Lively Big Screen Teases
In 2009, Blake carefully sprawled her naked body across Alan Arkin in The Private Lives of Pippa Lee, playing a young Robin Wright and giving us our first taste of Blake Lively sideboob. She’d show more hefty cleavage while rubbing up on Ben Affleck in the crime drama The Town in 2010, and got humped furiously in two different scenes in 2012’s Savages. There was no booty double used in The Rhythm Section (2020) for the scenes with Blake in lingerie and underwear, but this is expected because she never got fully nude. Her next big project was a cameo as Ladypool, the curvy female Deadpool variant in her hubby’s blockbuster sequel Deadpool & Wolverine, released right before a flick where you actually saw her on screen - the romantic drama It Ends With Us from director and star Justin Baldoni. The trailer had Blake and Justin getting hot and heavy, but we think we may have seen the end of Blake Lively nude on screen.
