A Different Man (2024)

Edward Lemuel (Sebastian Stan) is a struggling New York actor with a genetic disorder called neurofibromatosis that causes tumors to form throughout his body, especially his face. When he starts to develop a friendship with his neighbor, a beautiful theatre director from Norway named Ingrid (Renate Reinsve), it gives him the push he needs to change his destiny, so he undergoes a pioneering medical procedure that makes him conventionally handsome and reinvents himself as a completely different person named Guy Moratz. This new persona of his starts hooking up with Ingrid when she casts him in a play she wrote about her friendship with Edward (who everyone believes committed suicide), where he wears a mask of his old face. But when the play attracts the attention of Oswald (Adam Pearson), a funny and confident British gent who also has neurofibromatosis, Edward/Guy’s life is turned upside down by the existence of someone who doesn’t let his condition dictate his happiness. True happiness, though, comes from seeing Renate’s rack and flash of bush while in bed with Sebastian, before she has him put on the mask to make their bang sesh a bit... different.
