All roads led to Rome for the late thespians Sir John Gielgud and Peter O’Toole when they decided to appear in Caligula (1979) starring Malcolm McDowell in the title role. Focused on the decadence of Ancient Rome, this porn movie (yes, porn movie) was penned by highbrow scribe Gore Vidal and produced by Penthouse magazine founder Bob Guccione. The result is a $17.5 million skin flick about the infamously insane emperor with an insatiable appetite for sex. As such, the bodacious biopic comes complete with full penetration, spread beavers, slurped schlongs, and lap-liquefying lesbianism. Helen Mirren proves there’s nothing like a Dame by displaying her naked T&A during a three-way. She came, she saw, she conquered — but not necessarily in that order! Speaking of, when Adriana Asti shimmies her big bare breasties, you’ll be spewing Asti Spermanti! Heck it even won an Anatomy Award for a newly discovered backburger scene from Helen Mirren! With this Roman-set movie, history comes alive — literally!
