The Valet (2022)

The Valet (2022) is an American remake of the 2006 French film of the same name from Francis Veber, a filmmaker whose films have been remade in America as such hits as The Birdcage (1996), The Toy (1982), and Dinner for Schmucks (2010). Samara Weaving stars as Olivia, a movie star who is embroiled in a potential controversy surrounding her rumored affair with a married co-star. When the two are photographed together at a restaurant, a hapless valet (Eugenio Derbez) is also in the photographs, leading Olivia to concoct a scheme wherein she will pretend that the valet is actually the man she's dating and not her married co-star. Hijinks, naturally, ensue. We'd love to tell you that this flick one-ups the skinless French original, but it's also devoid of any nudity. Thankfully there are some sexy scenes of Samara Weaving in various sexy outfits, which is at least worth the price of admission!
