Review

The Italian fright-fest The Red Monks (1988) tells the story of a young newlywed couple (Chuck Valenti and Lara Wendel) whose honeymoon comes to an abrupt end when the new husband’s involvement with a murdering Satanic cult comes to light. Gianni Martucci directed this film based on Mario Bava’s La casa dell'esorcismo (1973). The monastic lifestyle seems a little less appealing to us having seen Lara Wendel’s bodacious bod in her skinny-dipping sequence.
