Zombie Holocaust (1979) is an Italian cannibal/zombie/gore flick, which should be enough to gain your enthusiasm. It goes by many alternative titles, such as Zombie 3 and Butcher M.D., but whatever you call it, this is a film that delivers the goods so badly it’s great. How can you go wrong with mad doctors, naked women, cannibals and zombies? The plot hinges on the discovery that someone is mutilating corpses in a New York hospital. An anthropologist, Alexandra Delli Colli, in her first role, travels to an island believed to be the home of the cult responsible for the nastiness. She takes a male assistant and a female newsie with her. All three are then attacked upon landing on the island, rescued by the mad doctor and used as guinea pigs for his crazy experiments. The good news? Alexandra is topless and then shows her full-frontal glory a couple of times. It’s good enough to eat.
