The Geek (1971) is about some tree-huggers who go into the woods to celebrate nature, but nature instead celebrates them in the form of Big Foot, who rapes the literal nature lovers. And this isn’t a comedy, but an adult take on horror. It was a different time then, and adult was just becoming mainstream, so producers were looking for any way they could creatively mix sex and something. In this case brutality with a mythical creature. Hell, it worked for Deep Throat. So, make a quickie script and cast porn star Lynn Holmes, and presto. Or something like that.
