The Emerald Forest (1985) is based on the true story of an engineer’s 10 year long search for his son. While in Brazil to help build a dam, an American engineer’s son is kidnapped by a native tribe in the nearby Amazon rain forest. While his father spends a decade searching for him, the tribe takes the boy in and raises him as one of their own.
