If you've never heard of writer and director Russ Meyer, pull up a chair and let Mr. Skin fill you in. Ever heard of Beyond the Valley of the Dolls? How about Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!? If your answer is no, then you can put those on your to-do list after you watch Supervixens (1975), another one of the man's amazing tales of sex and violence. Rated X when it first came out, the film's trailer shares that you can feast on six bountiful beauties while watching, and it doesn't lie. The plot involves a gas jockey who has to take off after a crazy cop frames him for the murder of his wife. He soon discovers that America is full of wild, huge-breasted nymphomaniacs who want to come to his assistance. The legendary Haji keeps her tight clothes on, but there’s supernudity from the likes of Uschi Digard, Shari Eubank, Deborah McGuire and more. And Mr. Skin doesn't need a salesgirl from Victoria's Secret to know that not one of these beauties is under a delicious D cup. And, also, that there are a lot of thanks that need to go to Paulette Breil and Yves Meyer, who designed the costumes for the movie. Both did a spectacular job of finding all the right ways to prop up and properly display all assets, while allowing them to joyously bounce and jiggle with every movement of the body. Truly a sight to see. And if you love the film, be sure to check out Russ's later mash-up, Beneath the Valley of the Ultra-Vixens (1979).
