Splitting Heirs (1993)

You know you’re dealing with an English comedy with a punny title like Splitting Heirs (1993). To further the British brouhaha are veteran comics Eric Idle and John Cleese. The plot is along the line of The Prince and the Pauper, with Idle as royalty switched at birth with uncouth American Rick Moranis. But far more satisfying than the laughs are the cheeky moments, sadly featuring naked rears of both anonymous men and women. There’s a stripper who strips down to a G-string and pasties, and Barbara Hershey adds lots of cleavage, but it’s Catherine Zeta-Jones who flashes her butt and breasts. But is that Catherine or a body double? Well, it’s recommended you watch the scene endlessly and then decide for yourself . . . if you even care at that point. After all, it’s just splitting hairs.
