Silver Haze (2023)

Based in part on the lead actress’s real-life experiences, this indie drama is about Franky (Vicky Knight), a nurse and part-time actor in her early 20s who lives with her sister Leah (Vicky’s real sister Charlotte Knight) and her alcoholic mother Donna (Carrie Bunyan) in Essex. Fifteen years earlier, Franky survived a fire that started in the pub the family lived above at the time, though it took the life of her brother and left her severely scarred. She’s still hell-bent on revenge against whoever started the fire (she believes it’s the woman her father left the family for afterward) but her anger is diminished slightly when she meets Florence (Esmé Creed-Miles), a patient at the hospital she works at who tried to commit suicide and the two form a romantic bond. Before that Franky had been dating Flynn (Alfie Deegan), and we get to witness the debut of Vicky’s petite pair while they’re having sex at the start of the film. Then she delivers both T’n’A when they’re getting it on in her bedroom and little sis interrupts, but she ends up dumping him before getting sexy and sapphic with Esmé, who sets fire tot the screen with her topless ta-tas.
