Emily (2022) marks the feature directorial debut for actress Frances O'Connor (A.I., Bedazzled) and stars Sex Education favorite Emma Mackey in the title role of Wuthering Heights author Emily Brontë! The film isn't based on true events but is rather an act of imagination about what inspired her to write this seminal novel, telling the story of Emily's illicit affair with William Weightman (Oliver Jackson-Cohen), the object of desire of Emily's sister Charlotte (Alexandra Dowling).
