Nude Tuesday (2022)

Cowritten by The Daily Show’s Ronny Chieng, the film’s director Armagan Ballantyne, and star Jackie van Beek, this quirky comedy may have been filmed in beautiful New Zealand but we’re not treated to typical New Zealand accents. Instead the cast speaks Zøbftańlik, an entirely made-up Scandinavian language, to tell the story of Laura (Van Beek) and her husband Bruno (Damon Herriman), a middle-aged couple who has lost their spark. Bogged down by Laura’s stressful job and the tribulations of parenthood, the two aren’t in a celebratory mood when their anniversary rolls around, and it must be obvious that things aren’t going well because they receive awkward gift from Laura’s mom - an all-inclusive new-age retreat where they can try to reconnect. Wonderla, as its called proves to be exactly what you think it is: a bunch of horned up hippies who like to walk around in the buff. Yep, the title is spot on. There’s full frontal abound as Chelsie Preston Crayford, Yvette Parsons, and Morgana O’Reilly are just three of the partici-no pants baring all three Bs. Jackie quickly joins the festivities, freeing her boobs, butt, and bush all for the first time. Nude Tuesday is now officially our favorite day of the week!
