Undertow (2020)

Tragedy waits around nearly every corner in the Australian drama Undertow (2020), the debut feature film from actress turned director Miranda Nation! Laura Gordon stars as Claire, a woman reeling from the most tragic event imaginable, the death of her child. As Claire takes time to grieve and process the death, her husband Dan (Rob Collins) seems ready to move on and Claire begins to suspect that he already has moved on... with another woman! Shortly after the tragedy, the couple is introduced to Angie (Olivia DeJonge) and her footballer boyfriend Brett (Josh Helman), and though Claire is trying not to be suspicious of Dan, she is devastated to see him coming out of a motel room where she knows Angie is staying. Rather than keeping closer tabs on her husband, however, Claire begins stalking Angie, convinced that she holds the key to all of the mysterious circumstances that have befallen her lately. Of course, this leads her down a road that threatens to consume her with jealousy before she gets to the heart of any of the answers she seeks. It's nice to see a female-centric take on this age old tale of the green-eyed monster that makes fun of the victims it devours. It's even nicer to see Laura Gordon's four phenomenal nude scenes in the film, including some close-up full frontal just ten minutes in as she examines her naked body in a mirror! Throw in some supporting sexiness from Olivia DeJonge, who appears nude twice though her arms block her breasts the first time and she's sporting electrical tape pasties the second! Regardless, this Undertow is sure to pull you under!
