Fortress (1986)

An Australian schoolteacher must go above and beyond the call of duty to protect nine young students in the shocking made-for-TV thriller Fortress (1986). When four masked marauders burst into Sally Jones’s (Rachel Ward) classroom and begin making demands, it becomes immediately obvious that all of the victims’ lives are in danger. Set in rural Australia, Arch Nicholson’s thriller is laced with violence and suspense. It also makes appropriate use of its buxom heroine by allowing her to strip out of her skivvies as she leads the kiddies to safety in a watery lagoon.
