Class (1983)

You don’t need to be a scholar to know the eighties saw an explosion of school and sex-themed flicks. There was Fame (1980), My Bodyguard (1980), Fast Times at Ridgemont High (1982), The Outsiders (1983), Footloose (1984), Sixteen Candles (1984), The Breakfast Club (1985), Pretty in Pink (1986), Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (1986), Heathers (1988), and Say Anything (1989). Of course, we’d be remiss not to add Class (1983) to this list. The R rated romp focuses on two best friends: awkward Jonathan (Andrew McCarthy) and rich kid Skip (Rob Lowe), who bunk together at prep school. And you know what they say, “Friends who wear lingerie and barf on a double date and break into a girls’ school together, stay together.” But when Jonathan gets picked up in a Chicago bar by Skip’s sexy mom (Jacqueline Bisset), it’s every man for himself. The affair ends with the MILF dumping the dude — but not before we get to see her deflower the bud in bed. Since she assumes she’ll never see him again it’s quite a surprise when her son brings his pal home for the holidays. Merry Christmas! If that’s not entertaining enough, the film also features Cliff Robertson, John Cusack, Lolita Davidovich, and Virginia Madsen’s nude movie debut! When Lisa (Madsen) slaps Jonathan, he falls backwards onto Roger (Alan Ruck), while ripping open her blouse. The clumsy move means we can glance at her big bare breast! Suffice it to say, Virginia is at the topless of her Class!
