Monster's Ball (2001)

The Academy Awards and slap-up sex scenes don’t always go hand in hand, but the mammary glands of bravely stripped actress Halle Berry had Oscar voters rushing to stuff the ballot box while movie goers vigorously applauded with one hand for her turn in Monster’s Ball (2001). Under the direction of Swiss filmmaker Marc Forster, the R rated film features Billy Bob Thornton, Heath Ledger, Peter Boyle, Sean Combs, Mos Def, and Ms. Berry’s bare body! As the rural and low-rent heroine Leticia Musgrove, Halle shows off her acting chops as well as other parts of her perfect anatomy when she and Billy Bob’s character get it on — on screen! How often does a second-generation prison guard hook up with the gorgeous ex of an executed felon? Maybe more often than we might think, but never with the jaw-dropping spectator appeal seen here. At the 1-hour and 39-minute mark, a bra-clad Halle gives us some great facial expressions and a brief nip-slip when Mr. Thornton blows some tunes in her vertical harmonica. Nice organ playing! Of course, the coverage is more candid a few minutes earlier when the ebony babe reveals her coco-colored nips, lush tuft and sweet seat as she gets boned by Billy Bob on the couch. Their sex-fest is off the charts, especially in the Blu-Ray version which combines the original scene with all of the Euro versions. Whichever country it’s shown in, Halle’s Oscar-winning orgasm is caliente, calda, chaude, quente, gorący, heiss, heiß — you know, hot!
