It’s often neglected in the pantheon of ’80s teen dramas, but Vision Quest (1985) will always be remembered for providing Madonna with her screen debut. This doesn’t mean the film sucks, either. The pop star has a cameo performing in a club, but you’ll be swinging a bat for Linda Fiorentino as a not-so-older woman. She’s a free spirit who’s moved in as a tenant at the home of high-school wrestler Matthew Modine. He’s soon going ga-ga for the hot babe under his roof. She’s his inspiration, too, prompting him to ponder his future and expand his horizons--like, um, writing an article for his high-school paper about the importance of the clitoris.
