Fast Times at Ridgemont High (1982)

“If I’m here, and you’re here . . . doesn’t that make it our time?” So says Sean Penn as surfer dude and perennial burn-out Jeff Spicoli in the teen classic Fast Times at Ridgemont High (1982), and our time is well spent thanks to this perfect mix of tits, zits, and bong hits in this iconic flick. Sight gags, soon-to-be-stars, deep-throated carrots, nubile nudity, and the immortal Ray Walston as Mr. Hand all blend into one gut-busting student-body bouillabaisse. Written by a still in his twenties Cameron Crowe, this high school movie follows a few high schools students. There's Brad (Judge Reinhold), a down-on-his-luck senior struggling at his fast food job, Brad's virginal sister Stacy (Jennifer Jason Leigh), who gets knocked up soon after getting her cherry popped, Mike Damone (Robert Romanus) the smooth talking sleazebag who lands all sorts of ldies, unlike his loser buddy Mark (Bran Backer), and Jeff Spicoli (Sean Penn) the pot loving, Vans wearing stoner who is stuck dealing with the dick of a history teacher Mr. Hand. Speaking of being stuck to hands, on top of launching the careers of all sorts of A-listers including Penn, Nicolas Cage and Forest Whitaker, the skin scenes in this one are legendary. One year before All the Right Moves (1983) and three years before Back the the Future (1985), a very fresh Jennifer Jason Leigh served up her sweet stuff while losing her cherry to a stereo salesman in a little-league dugout. Her first time may be lacking for romance, but she gets a few more cracks at the perfect tryst. A later cabana-room canoodling with the ticket-scalping slickster Mike Damone provides us with a perusal of Jen’s Botticelli-worthy boobage. We'd like to be da one to make her moan! But that's not even the movie's best nude scene! The whole reason Mr. Skin became a thing was because of the famous Phoebe Cates scene. If you grew up in the eighties or nineties, you know what we're talking about. Brad just got home from a long day of work, only to find his sister's best friend in a red bikini, swimming in their pool. Brad starts daydreaming about her getting out of that water, taking that top off and showing the cans that would define a generation, before she walks in on him with his eyes closed cracking stick. All sorts of fast forwarding to that scene happened while watching Fast Times at Ridgemont High!
