The Western The Man Who Loved Cat Dancing (1973) is told from a woman’s viewpoint. It’s based on Marilyn Durham’s novel, which gets its odd name from Burt Reynolds’s dead Indian wife in the story. The film is about Sarah Miles fleeing from her husband, George Hamilton, when she accidentally views a robbery and is held hostage by the gang. Reynolds tries to keep his fellow outlaws from mam-handling the beautiful brunette, but it’s hard since she keeps taking off her shirt.
