With “macho” in the title, it’s no surprise that Macho Callahan (1970) is a kick-ass entry in the traditional Western genre. Macho is a Union soldier in a Confederate prison during the Civil War. He escapes internment by blowing up the coffin holding the corpse of an executed officer. And things just get uglier from there. He shoots one-armed veterans and even the vigilante killers sent to apprehend him. All that blood-and-guts testosterone is quite the turn-on for busty Jean Seberg, a newlywed who is brutally assaulted by Macho, which exposes some of the famous Seberg sacks, though it is likely a body double. Jean can’t help but fall for her tormentor and the two begin a sick love affair. Girls just love bad boys, and Macho is the baddest of the bad.
