Baby Ruby (2023)

Josephine (Noémie Merlant) is a popular French lifestyle blogger who spent the nine months of her pregnancy showcasing her personal experience leading up to the birth online, curating the perfect world in upstate New York with her artisan butcher husband Spencer (Kit Harrington) for her new baby to enjoy and her many fans to try and emulate. But once Baby Ruby is born, Jo’s online presence dwindles to nothing due to Jo’s growing postpartum psychosis that convinces her not only that her increasingly fussy baby hates her, but that her husband, his over-bearing mother (Jayne Atkinson), and everyone else is conspiring against her. Jo begins to have hallucinations about her nude body dying in violent ways, but are her feelings of something sinister going on warranted or is it all in her head? It’s to the point where she can’t even enjoy a night out where Meredith Hagner sucks on her breasts because it looks like Baby Ruby has tried to tear her marvelous milk sacs apart while feeding.
